The main event was a rematch between Johny Hendricks and Robbie Lawler for the UFC Welterweight Championship.

No touch of the gloves to start the fight and Lawler came out quick. Lawler landed big knees to the body , but Hendricks returned with some big punches. Lawler clinched a couple times and looked for knees to the head. Hendricks pushed the fight up against the cage and looked for a takedown, but Lawler able to defend. Even though Hendricks had Lawler up against the cage, the challenger was able to land some knees to the body. Hendricks landed a nice combination, pushed the fight up against the cage and landed a takedown.

Lawler came out with a straight left and landed a big head kick. Hendricks followed up with a decent body kick. Hendricks continued to pound the outside leg of Lawler. The champion came through with a four punch combination and finished it with a leg kick. Hendricks closed in and pushed the fight up against the fence. Hendricks got the takedown with just over two minutes left in the second round. The two return to their feet and Lawler landed a big front kick to the face. The round ended with Lawler slipping and Hendricks looking for the guillotine choke.

The third round started with Hendricks taking the center of the Octagon. Hendricks kept the combinations coming with the leg kick to end it off. With two minutes left in the round, Lawler had not thrown more than a handful of punches and when he did, Hendricks wound up taking him down. Lawler got back to his feet and Hendricks pushed him up against the cage. Hendricks got the fight back to the ground to end the round.

Lawler was either gassed at the start of the fourth or he had been conserving his energy. Hendricks took Lawler up against the cage, but referee Herb Dean broke them and put them back in the center of the Octagon. Lawler landed a big right hand followed by a head kick. Hendricks again took the fight to the mat, but Lawler got back up and when he pressured with the punches, Hendricks clinched and went for the takedown. Lawler landied big elbows and punches to a turtled Hendricks to finish the fourth.

Hendricks came out and instantly looked for the takedown. Both men threw bing punches, but Hendricks really wanted the takedown and pushed the fight against the cage. Dean once again split the two up and put them in the cetner of the cage. After the two traded for a few seconds, Hendricks pushed Lawler up against the cage — again. Dean split the two with two-minutes left and Lawler pushed forward. Another takedown attempt from Hendricks and the crowd began to boo. After landing some big punches, Lawler had Hendricks turtled up and continued to pour down the punches. Lawler got back to his feet and threw bombs.

The two go the distance AGAIN.
