Kajan Johnson takes on Naoyuki Kotani at UFC Fight Night 76
Johnson (20-11) had a long road to his UFC debut. Being a pro since 2002, the 31-year-old made it to the TUF Nations house and had his Octagon debut in 2014 in front of his hometown crowd. Unfortunately it didn’t go his way and despite pushing the pace, was knocked out by Tae Hyun Bang in the third round. “Ragin” rebounded from that setback and claimed his first victory under the UFC banner against Lipeng Zhang at UFC Fight Night 66.
Kotani (33–12–7) was riding a 13-fight winning streak coming into his Octagon debut in 2014. The Japanese native has yet to secure a victory in his UFC outings, as he’s gone 0-2, with losses to Norman Parke and Yan Cabral.
UFC Fight Night 76 goes down on September 27 from the Saitama Super Arena in Japan. The main event is a heavyweight showdown between Josh Barnett and Roy Nelson.
