On Monday, July 20, 2015, Ian “Uncle Creepy” McCall was injured while training at his gym in California. Today, Friday, July 31, Ian will undergo surgery in California to repair the torn labrum and torn bicep which, as reported last week, have caused Ian to be removed from his UFC fight scheduled for August 8 in Nashville, TN. At this time, McCall’s estimated rehabilitation time is six months.

McCall (13–5–1) was expected to take on Dustin Ortiz in a rematch from their Tachi Palace Fights 9 bout at UFC Fight Night 73.

While he is not happy that it will not be him meeting Ortiz in Music City, he is certain that his replacement, fellow Iridium Sports Agency fighter Willie Gates, will do justice by “whooping ass.”

As always, he has much respect and gratitude to his family, team, and fans for their continued support.
