UFC Lightweight Mitch Clarke will step on the grappling mat on September 12 at Submission Series PRO: The Triumph against a very dangerous grappler — Scott Nauss.
“I think it’s a great opportunity to help promote a growing sport which is hopefully going to catch on,” Clarke told MMASucka.com. “I like the submission only format because it makes you stay active, keeps away the stalling and makes the fans stay interested. I like to take chances to get the win and I think this is the opportunity to do that.”

Clarke, who has spent the last eight years honing his mixed martial arts game and has amassed a 11-3 record. “Danger Zone” was riding a two fight winning streak up until his last outing, as he lost a decision against Michael Chiesa. Clarke holds a brown belt under Rodrigo Munduruca.
Nauss is a Nova Scotia native who has competed on the Submission Series PRO mats before and has been tearing through his opponents as of late.
Submission Series PRO: The Triumph goes down on September 12 from the Marigold Theatre in Nova Scotia.
