December keeps on shaping up to be one of the best months for the UFC as their December 10th Fight Pass card has it’s main even set with the announcement of #6 ranked strawweight PaigeVanZant taking on #8 ranked Joanne Calderwood. The fight was announced shortly following VanZant’s announcement of a new UFC deal that also included her next opponent in Calderwood.

VanZant is currently riding a 3 fight winning streak since signing with the UFC with her latest win coming by way of 3rd round submission over Alex Chambers at UFC 190.
Calderwood has yet to put together a winning streak in the promotion after bouncing back from a submission loss against Maryna Moroz with a decision win against Cortney Casey last July in Glasgow.
The women’s strawweight tilt is set for December 10th and will be held at The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan and air on UFC Fight Pass.
