This bout was announced via Press Release and will be the third confirmed addition to the televised main card.

Brazil’s 24-year-old Sakai (9-0) has not tasted defeat yet in his young career and currently holds a record of 3-0 in the Bellator cage, including stoppage wins over Daniel Gallemore and Matt Frembling, as well as a decision win over Bobby Lashley training partner Alex Huddleston in his most recent outing.

40-year-old Frenchman Cheick Kongo (23-10-2) has gone 5-2 since joining Bellator in late-2013, including wins over Lavar Johnson, former champion Alexander Volkov and current BAMMA champion Mark Godbeer. His two losses in the Bellator cage come from current champion Vitaly Minakov and former Strikeforce champion ‘King Mo‘. During his seven-year UFC run, he picked up wins over the likes of Pat Barry, Mirko Cro Cop, Antoni Hardonk, Paul Buentello and Matt Mitrione.

The fight will take place on the main card.

‘Bellator 150: Galvao vs. Dantas 2’ will be headlined by a bantamweight title rematch between Marcos Galvao and Eduardo Dantas. Kansas’ own will take the cage in a lightweight bout vs. a yet-to-be-named opponent.

The event will take place at the Kansas Star Arena in Mulvane, Kansas on February 26.
