Staff picks are in for tonight’s UFC Fight Night 142, the final fight card of our quadruple-pick weekend. All of the action will take place from the Adelaide Entertainment Centre in Adelaide, Australia. Make sure to check out our staff picks from The Ultimate Fighter 28 Finale and both Bellator cards.

THE FIGHTS

In tonight’s main event, long-time heavyweight veteran Junior Dos Santos will face off against one of Australia’s fastest rising stars, Tai Tuivasa. Dos Santos has alternated wins and losses for the past eight fights, last defeating Blagoy Ivanov in a main event last July. The former UFC heavyweight champion is hoping to earn his second straight victory in 2018. His last loss came in a main event title fight to now former champion Stipe Miocic, where he suffered his fifth career loss in competition. His opponent, Tuivasa, made his octagon debut in November of 2017, impressing everyone with his flying knee finish over Rashad Coulter. He followed it up with two victories in 2018, most recently defeating former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski by unanimous decision. Tuivasa is hoping to keep his undefeated streak going with a ninth victory.

Also competing on the main card includes two savvy veterans in light-heavyweight Shogun Rua and heavyweight Mark Hunt. Their respected opponents, Australian Tyson Pedro and “Big Pretty” Justin Willis, are hoping to make statements with solid performances over two long-time competitors.

STAFF PICKS

The WINNER of staff picks will have a chance to receive a custom-made championship belt from ProAmBelts following completion of the 2018 calendar year! The 2017 winner was awarded to Wesley Riddle, compiling a record of 118-74 for main card fights. Staff picks compose of both Bellator and UFC fights taken place on the main card.
