Fury Fighting Championship (Fury FC) is a local MMA promotion based out of Texas. Along with Legacy Fighting Championship (LFA), Fury FC is one of the more popular promotions that are based in Texas. FFC has been used as a stepping stone to the UFC for fighters such as Mike Jackson and Ryann Spann.

Upcoming Fury FC Event

Fury Fighting Championship 40 will take place this Friday, December 13. It will take place at the Humble Civic Center in Houston, Texas. The event will hold two title fights on the card, and will also feature a former UFC heavyweight. With 15 professional fights taking place this Friday, Fury FC will also showcase an amateur event prior to the professional card.

UFC Vet Fights For The Title

UFC vet Rashad Coulter will take on Isacc Villanueva for the light heavyweight title. Coulter had four fights in the UFC with a 1-3 record. All three of the fights he lost were at heavyweight, while his one win was at light heavyweight. He also missed weight for that final light heavyweight fight, weighing in at 208lbs. Although he fought at heavyweight and missed weight at light heavyweight he is no stranger to the lighter weights. Fighting as a middleweight at one point in his career.  Villanueva has fought notable guys like Justin Ledet and Trevin Giles in his 15-9 pro career.

Co-Main Event

The co-main event will feature 9-4 Leville Simpson taking on 4-1 Will Morris for the Fury FC lightweight title. Simpson’s most recent fight is a split decision win over Tyler Mathison in LFA. Morris has fought three of his five pro fights for Fury FC. His two most recent fights have been under the Bellator banner, where he holds a 1-1 record. Losing his most recent fight by first-round TKO to Joe Schilling. Although Morris only has five pro fights to date, he is no stranger to being the more inexperienced fighter. His opponents in those five fights have a combined record of 19-16.

Next Event-Fury FC 41

Fury FC’s next event, Fury Fighting Championship 41 will be held on December 20th. It will be held at Duncanville Fieldhouse in Duncanville, Texas. Being headlined by Fury FC’s first-ever women’s featherweight title fight. Fighting for the title will be Audry Wolfe and Courtney King.

My name is Michael Lynch. I’m originally from Long Island, NY, but I reside in Columbia, Sc. I’ve been covering MMA for almost two years now. I’ve covered events such as Island fights and the PFL. I also have a YouTube channel where I do fight companions and UFC fight previews. I have recently started to train in mma and would like to have my first fight in 2020. I believe that as a journalist I need to experience what these fighters go threw, in order to understand their POV.
