With UFC 249 just around the corner, the UFC are doing everything they can to hype the event up. This week they have given us a countdown episode for both the co-main and main events.

They most recently posted their latest Embedded episode, a vlog like series following the key fighters during the UFC 249 fight week.

The Episode

This episode certainly isn’t like any other. It gives us a good insight into the precautions that the UFC are taking in order to make sure all athletes, teams and workers are safe.

There is a clear emphasis on how the fighters will stay safe and how gyms are staying clean. Heavyweight main career, Francis Ngannou talks about how strange it is to train in an empty gym and the precautions that he is going through.

UFC president Dana White also revealed that there were a number of places that the UFC could have put their event on. He did claim that Florida were the ‘most aggressive’ and ‘made the most sense’, which is why UFC 249 will go ahead in Jacksonville.

Towards the end of the episode, we also got confirmation that headliner Tony Ferguson was in Jacksonville and was ready to go. Ferguson takes on Justin Gaethje in the main event for the interim lightweight title. This fight will be violent, entertaining, exciting and everything we need for our first headliner back after all of this madness.
