Dana White’s Contender Series returned for its fourth season on Tuesday with a four-fight card featuring prospects fighting for a shot at a UFC contract. In the season’s first episode, lightweights Jordan Leavitt and Uros Medic, as well as light heavyweight Dustin Jacoby, were brought into the UFC for their performances. The Post-Fight Matchmaker for this episode of Dana White’s Contender Series looks to determine who they should fight in their debut with the organization.

Post-Fight Matchmaker: Dana White Contender Series Season 4, Episode 1

Jordan Leavitt vs. Joe Solecki

“The Monkey King” Leavitt wasted no time taking the fight to the mat against Luis Flores and worked from top position until he was able to get an arm-triangle submission towards the end of the first round. Leavitt’s Post-Fight celebration was just as impressive, breaking out his patented splits followed by the Worm. The 25-year-old now enters the UFC undefeated with all wins coming by submission. His grappling game has been unmatched so far, but the UFC will surely offer a challenge to that. A great first fight for him would be fellow Contender Series alum, Joe Solecki. Solecki made his UFC debut in December with a dominant win over Matt Wiman, where his grappling prowess was on full display. This fight is a great barometer for both fighters to determine their path forward as they progress in their UFC career.

Uros Medic vs. Austin Hubbard

By most accounts, Uros Medic stole the show with his destruction of Mikey Gonzalez in less than one round. “The Doctor” picked apart the taekwondo black belt with hard kicks and precise punches. The Alaska-based Serbian moves to 6-0 with the win and enters the UFC with a bevy of momentum. His first opponent should be former LFA lightweight champion, Austin Hubbard. “Thud” Hubbard most recently defeated Max Rohskopf in June via stoppage between the second and third rounds. He has alternated wins and losses in his four-fight UFC tenure, but would be an excellent test for Medic in what would surely be a great stand-up battle.

Dustin Jacoby vs. Aleksa Camur

After eight and a half years, Dustin Jacoby will be making his return to the UFC. After going 0-2 in his first UFC tenure, Jacoby ventured into kickboxing with GLORY Kickboxing for eighteen fights, as well as taking MMA fights in organizations such as Bellator and the WSOF. That experience was on full display, as he picked apart a tough Ty Flores across the majority of his three-round decision win.

The win proved that he is ready for a second chance in the UFC, and he should face Aleksa Camur in his return. Camur is a fellow Contender Series alum who won his debut in January by unanimous decision over Justin Ledet. Prior to that win, the 24-year-old had won each of his fights by TKO. The winner of that Fight of the Night contender would be on the path to quickly work towards the rankings in a thin light heavyweight division.
