The UFC and Bellator are back in full swing, and they both released some great fight announcements this past week. The UFC got the ball rolling last week, and both promotions have signed some other compelling fights in recent days.

The biggest announcement is that Amanda Nunes will be defending her featherweight title in December against Megan Anderson. If and when Nunes wins that fight, they might as well retire the title, as there is nobody left deserving of a title shot at 145.

UFC Fight Announcements

Alistair Overeem vs. Augusto Sakai will meet on Sep 5.
Alonzo Menifield vs. Ovince Saint Preux was rescheduled for Sep 5.

Magomed Ankalaev vs. Ion Cutelaba was rescheduled for August 29.

Colby Covington vs. Tryon Woodley will meet at UFC Fight Night on Sep 19.

Dominick Reyes will meet Jan Blachowicz for the light heavyweight title on Sep 26
Diego Sanchez will meet Jake Matthews on Sep 26.

Jack Hermansson vs. Darren Till will meet on December 5.

Amanda Nunes vs. Megan Anderson will meet on December 12 for the featherweight title.

Bellator Fight Announcements

Phil Davis vs. Lyoto Machida II will headline Bellator 245 on Sep 11

Juan Archuleta vs. Patchy Mix will meet for the vacant bantamweight title Sep 12
Jon Fitch vs. Neiman Gracie will take place on September 12
Liz Carmouche vs. DeAnna Bennett will take place on September 12
Derek Campos vs. Roger Huerta will take place on September 12
Austin Vanderford vs. Daniel Madrid will take place on September 12

As future announcements are made by major organizations, we’ll have them for you here. It seems as if the UFC and Bellator are making big announcements almost daily. You can also expect the UFC to release a large group of fighters soon, as Dana White mentioned with all the newcomers coming on board, he’d have to make room. We’ll have those names, as well as they, become available.
