Card two of three for the week for MMASucka staff picks is just around the corner. Later this evening, October 3 will see Bellator Euro Series 9 take place from the Allianz Cloud in Milan, Italy. This will be the promotion’s third straight event and last visit to Italy in 2020. The main card will begin at 5:00pm ET (2:00pm PT) live on the Bellator MMA app for mobile platforms.

Check out our picks from Thursday’s Bellator 247 event. Also, stay tuned this afternoon for our UFC on ESPN 16 staff picks.

The Fights

Ireland’s James Gallagher and the United Kingdom’s Cal Ellenor will take each other on at bantamweight in this evening’s main event. Gallagher will look for his third straight win with Bellator since his lone professional defeat to Ricky Bandejas in 2018. His opponent, Ellenor, returns after nearly two years outside the cage since defeating Nathan Greyson by submission.

Due to a late change, the main card bout between Kiefer Crosbie and Charlie Leary will not be counted. However, two additional preliminary bouts will be included. Look further below to find our MMASucka staff picks for Bellator Euro Series 9.

Staff Picks

Throughout the year, staff picks will be composed of five different MMA promotions. UFC and Bellator. As of September 25th, the events of ONE and RIZIN will no longer be counted for our picks (including a recent deduction of the last two RIZIN cards from our records). With the cancellation of PFL for 2020, this promotion will be excluded as well.

Main cards will makeup both UFC and Bellator picks. The WINNER of staff picks will have a choice between receiving a championship belt from ProAmBelts or a championship chain from Championship Chains. The 2019 winner was awarded to Michael DeSantis, compiling a record of 321-178. Second-place Connor Deitrich collected a close score of 319-180 with third-place Ed Gallo not far behind totaling at 312-183.
