ONE Championship will be back in “The Lion City” for their biggest card of 2020 when ONE: Inside The Matrix kicks off this Friday, October 30. It’s a night filled with championship action, and here is everything you need to know.

ONE: Inside The Matrix Event Information

The event will air live and free on the B/R Live app beginning at 8:30 a.m. EST/5:30 a.m. PST with a six-bout card.

If outside of the United States, you can find out the ways to watch the event here.

Main Event

At the top of the bill will be Aung La “The Burmese Python” N Sang, a two-division kingpin, defending his ONE Middleweight World Championship against Reinier “The Dutch Knight” De Ridder.

Aung La N Sang returns to action for the first time since defeating Brandon Vera in defense of the ONE Light Heavyweight World Championship and will be attempting his fourth defense of the middleweight crown in Singapore. Although he tested positive for COVID-19 earlier in the summer, Aung La N Sang recovered quickly and fully ahead of ONE setting a date for his return.

De Ridder will be looking to take the gold and embark on becoming Europe’s next great mixed martial arts World Champion. The undefeated Dutchman is 3-0 in the promotion with two finishes. “The Dutch Knight” enters the event with a 92% finishing rate.

Co-Main Event

ONE Lightweight World Champion Christian “The Warrior” Lee welcomes the undefeated Iuri Lapicus inside the ONE Circle for a title defense in the third title tilt of the evening.

Lee will be making his first official title defense after capturing the gold last year against Shinya Aoki. However, he returned later in 2019, on ten days’ notice, to capture the ONE Lightweight World Grand Prix Championship to help close out his spectacular 2019 campaign.

Lapicus is a top-notch grappler who has been honing his striking skills at Team Petrosyan. The undefeated Moldovan has a perfection finishing rate of 100% and is coming off a scorching 67-second finish of Marat Gafurov.

Featherweight Fireworks

The ONE Featherweight World Championship contest has all the ingredients to steal the show. Champion Martin “The Situ-Asian” Nguyen defends the belt against Thanh Le.

Nguyen has been a consistent presence on the ONE highlight reels with incredible knockouts and is a former two-division World Champion. With a 92% finishing rate, Nguyen is always a can’t-miss performance.

On the other side of the Circle, Le will return with heat of his own. The American has looked sensational in the promotion by winning all three of his matches by scintillating knockout. The expectation is that these two will throw heavy leather in the center of the Circle. Le has a perfect finishing rate of his own, and all expectations are that there will not be a need for the judges in this one.

Strawweight Rematch

The first World Championship bout of the evening takes place in the women’s strawweight division as “The Panda” Xiong Jing Nan meets Tiffany “No Chill” Teo.

The two first met for the inaugural ONE Women’s Strawweight World Championship, and since that day, Xiong has worn gold around her waist. Teo has won back-to-back matches to earn his shot at the Chinese star, but “The Panda” has been peerless in the division with three successful title defenses to date.
