In a shocking turn of events, Darren “The Gorilla” Till (#6 ranked middleweight contender) has been forced to pull out of his December 5 fight against Jack “Joker” Hermansson (#4 ranked middleweight contender) due to injury. In his place, Hermansson will fight the currently unranked Kevin “Trailblazer” Holland. The fight is to take place at the main event of UFC Fight Night 185.

Till, who hails from Liverpool, England comes off of a close decision loss to current #1 ranked middleweight contender, Robert “The Reaper” Whittaker. It is unknown if Till’s injury is related to the knee injury he took at the hands, or rather feet of Whittaker.

Hermansson, who was born in Uddevalla, Sweden, recently achieved a first-round heel-hook submission win over current #8 ranked middleweight contender, Kelvin Gastelum. According to reporter Brett Okamoto, Hermansson initially looked for another ranked opponent but was unable to secure one. Hermansson accepted the fight against the unranked Holland so as to fight again in 2020.

Kevin Holland, who comes from Riverside, California, has fought, and emerged victorious, an astonishing four times in 2020. He has achieved KO victories over Joaquin Buckley and Anthony Hernandez, as well as a close split decision victory over Darren Stewart. He comes off of a technical submission win over Charlie Ontiveros when he slammed the latter. Holland received Performance of the Night bonuses for his victories over Buckley and Ontiveros.
