After a big prediction pre-match, Gordon Ryan made that come true.

This prediction came 10-minutes prior to competing. In the co-main event at Who’s Number One, Ryan not only made his prediction a reality, he snapped Roberto Jimenez‘s arm in the process.

Gordon Ryan vs. Vagner Rocha Goes Down in March

After the match, it was announced that Vagner Rocha would be Ryan’s next opponent at the March Who’s Number One event.

Ryan is undefeated in professional grappling since 2018. He has beat the who’s who in the world of jiu-jitsu and will look to continue on his winning ways against Rocha. This match against Jimenez was the first since Who’s Number One 4 in 2020 when he heel hooked Matheus Diniz.

Gordon Ryan had some choice words for his upcoming opponent, “Vagner had some great joy picking on me when I was a kid, like smacking my crowns and talking shit to me when I was like 19-years-old and 170-pounds, so I’m just going to abuse him for most of the match and whenever I get bored I’ll finally submit him. But we’ll see how long he’ll keep that smile on his face that he usually has when he’s in a match with me.”

Rocha transitioned from BJJ to MMA, but has not fought in the cage since 2017. The 38-year-old has taken to the competitive grappling scene ever since. He has competed under a number of grappling banners including Submission Underground, EBI, Fight 2 Win and the aforementioned Who’s Number One. He competed against Ryan at EBI 11, when he lost via rear-naked choke in the finals.

The Who’s Number One event between Gordon Ryan and Vagner Rocha goes down on March 28 live on FloGrappling.
