Leon Edwards just inadvertently poked Belal Muhammad in the eye, ending their contest in the second round. The UFC Vegas 21 card is a wrap! Welterweights Leon Edwards and Belal Muhammad just threw down in the main event of the evening.  It was a highly anticipated fight and a real chance for Muhammad to climb the ladder and fight someone in the top five. Leon Edwards and Belal Muhammad are Second No Decision of the Night

Leon Edwards had a height and reach advantage going into this fight. He looked to utilize those advantages in the early going. Muhammad threw looping punches trying to land something but Edwards was able to escape. Edwards landed a right headkick and Muhammad was pretty damaged. His legs seemed to give way and as soon as he was able, he clinched Edwards along the fence. The first-round went to Edwards.

Leon Edwards with a horrendous eye poke as the second round opened. Belal Muhammad was badly hurt and was crying at the prospect of the fight being stopped. Another fight ends with a foul. Heartbreaking for both fighters. Muhammad’s eye was a mess and looked very painful.

Daniel Cormier spoke to Leon Edwards who was upset at the no-decision. “I apologize to Belal, I didn’t mean to do that. I’m heartbroken. I was just getting into the flow of it. So to have that taken away is heartbreaking. To come back like this, I don’t know what to say.”
