Perennial contender and former number one bantamweight in Canada, Jamie Siraj could very soon be making his return to the sport.

Having not seen action since 2019 due to a severe medical issue, the 26-year-old has found some relief. Siraj is back to training and is currently in talks with British Columbia’s own Battlefield Fight League (BFL) to make his return to the sport. Not just a return, but a shot at the promotion’s featherweight championship.

Siraj (8-2) is currently riding a five-fight winning streak. His last loss was to Cole Smith in 2016. Since that blemish “The Gremlin” has finished four of his five opponents in impressive fashion and earned the Unified MMA bantamweight championship.

Most recently, Siraj knocked out Blake Sigvaldason just 37-seconds into the first round of their Rise FC 4 match-up.

MMASucka.com will have more on the potential title fight as news arises.
