Former KSW Middleweight champion, Michał Materla makes his promotional return on January 15th in his hometown of Szczecin. “Magic”‘s opponent will be experienced English fighter, Jason Radcliffe

“The Assassin” Radcliffe has a 17-8 record and has won two of three fights in KSW. The Englishman made his debut for Polish promotion in his hometown of London at KSW 50, where he was picked up a unanimous decision win against Antoni Chmielewski. At KSW 59, he lost to Damian Janikowski by second-round stoppage when he found himself on the receiving end of Polish fighter’s fists. Radcliffe bounced back at KSW 64 when he punished Albert Odzimkowski with a series of punches.  The Assasin is a traveled veteran, who has fought for Cage Warriors, Bellator, and the Indian Super Fight League before joining ranks of KSW fighters.

Materla returns to KSW after more than a year away. A member of the renowned Berserkers Team gym located in his hometown, he holds records for the most fights in the history of the promotion with 25, as well as the most Fight of the Night bonuses. His last fight for Polish promotion took place at KSW 56 when he fought welterweight champion Roberto Soldic, where he lost in the first round. Since then, he bounced back by defeating Moise Rimbon by a unanimous decision at EFM Show 2. The event was held by a promotion which was a joint project of Materla and his brother.

When EFM disbanded, “Magic” received a new contract proposal from his former employer. KSW is the organization that Materla has fought for the most in his career, where he has beaten such fighters as Aleksandar Ilić, Damian Janikowski, Martin Zawada, Paulo Thiago, Rousimar Palhares, Antoni Chmielewski, Tomasz Drwal, Jay Silva, Kendall Grove, Matt Horwich and Krzysztof Kułak

Although Materla’s return is one of KSW 66 main attractions, many view it as the beginning of the former champion’s last run with the company, leading to the end of his storied fighting career.
