The next matches have been scheduled for the upcoming Bellator show set on May 13 in SSE Arena in London. Denise Kielholtz will take on Kana Watanabe and Daniel Welchel will square off against Robert Whiteford

Kielholtz fought last time at Bellator 262, where she lost by a split decision to Juliana Velasquez in a women’s flyweight title match. The Dutchwoman had the ambition to become the first Bellator fighter to grab championship gold in both MMA and kickboxing. She claimed the Bellator Kickboxing flyweight title back in 2017 and later won four fights straight inside the circular cage to earn herself a shot at Velasquez.

Watanabe is a Japan’s RIZIN and DEEP JEWELS veteran, who won her first two Bellator fights before being stopped by a first-round TKO by Liz Carmouche at Bellator 261 back in June.

This will be the 16th Bellator for a two-time featherweight title challenger, Weichel. He has a 10 – 5 record in the promotion and won only 2 out of his six bouts. This includes a loss to Emmanuel Sanchez in the quarterfinals of the Bellator Featherweight World Grand Prix. In his last fight, Weichel lost by a unanimous decision to Pedro Carvalho.

Whiteford is making his promotional return since Bellator 267 in October when an accidental eye poke from Andrew Fisher led to a fight being called a non-contest. Up to this bout, Whiteford was riding a four-fight winning streak, with his last victory being a third-round knockout of Sam Sicilia back in November 2019.

Bellator London’s fight card will be headlined by a welterweight title defense by Yaroslav Amosov against Michael “Venom” Page.
