Bellator’s London show is scheduled for May 13th has gained an interesting welterweight matchup as Douglas Lima will square off against Jason Jackson.

The former Bellator Welterweight champion, Lima is experiencing the worst chapter in his storied career. He recaptured the 170-pounds title by making his way to the finals of the Bellator Grand Prix back in 2019, where he defeated Rory MacDonald. After that, he tried to fulfil his ambitions of being two divisions champion by capturing the then-vacant middleweight title but was defeated by Gegard Mousasi at Bellator 250. Lima lost his welterweight gold to Yaroslav Amasov at Bellator 260, and his losing streak continued when he lost a rematch against Michael ‘Venom’ Page at Bellator 267 last October.
Making his way through welterweight ranks, Jackson is going after his first crack at the title. He’s riding a five-fight winning streak that included wins over former WEC and UFC Lightweight champion Benson Henderson, Neiman Gracie, and Paul Daley.
