Each UFC program has several battles, beginning with a ‘preliminary card,’ continued with the main card & ending with the tournament’s last fight, commonly referred to as the ‘main event.’

The UFC holds many events throughout the year, & 2022 will be no exception for the world’s largest and most famous martial arts company. Hundreds of people make millions by betting on this sport, and if you want to try your luck, MMA betting odds will help you get your feet wet in this field.

Players put their sweat & blood to become the UFC champion, and the new year is going to be full of excitement, with several great matches scheduled.

UFC Schedule 2022

2021 was unquestionably a success for MMA supporters, and 2022 appears to have the potential to become even greater. Just look at the fight schedules: Israel Adesanya vs. Robert Whittaker II, Francis Ngannou vs. Ciryl Gane, Beneil Dariush vs. Islam Makhachev, and so on.

At strawweight over heavyweight, the year is filled with battle opportunities, including names Nate Diaz, Conor McGregor, Jorge Masvidal, as well as a comprehensive list of great fighters all set to enter the ring. The following is a list of the year’s upcoming and most anticipated fights.

Glover Teixeira vs. Jiri Prochazka

Glover Teixeira seemed to have an unforgettable 2021. Despite 21 battles in the UFC, he fought Poland’s Jan Blachowicz to win his historic light heavyweight championship at the age of 42. For Brazilians, that was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

This year, he has to battle with a lengthy list of dangerous light heavyweights, beginning with Jiri Prochazka, who was to be given the next chance at the championship.

Petr Yan vs. Aljamain Sterling II

It may be the most crucial battle on the horizon right now. Petr Yan and Aljamain Sterling aren’t exactly household names, although their unresolved issues impede their entire lightweight division, which would be the top weight category in the MMA.

The narrative of Sterling & Yan began during UFC 259 around March 2021. Sterling took over the Russian for the bantamweight title in the first of three significant fights of that program. But the fight finished in a stalemate, and Sterling & Yan had to settle their differences for the crowded bantamweight category to continue.

Alexander Volkanovski vs. Max Holloway III

Max Holloway & Alexander Volkanovski have such a fascinating rivalry. Volkanovski won his first battle via unanimous verdict in December of 2019, winning the UFC featherweight championship throughout the process. In July 2020, he won a significant verdict in the instant rematch.

On the other hand, Holloway has won two exciting decision victories against his top-tier opponents, Calvin Kattar & Yair Rodriguez, after his playoff loss to Volkanovski. With all those victories and their history with Volkanovski, a trilogy is by far the most natural decision. So who is the actual featherweight champion? We’re hoping to hear it throughout the first part of this year.

Anybody vs. Jon Jones

Jon Jones is perhaps the greatest fighter in the history of mixed martial arts, but it’s easy to overlook that. After a close decision in February 2020 victory against Dominick Reyes, the long-reigning, light heavyweight winner renounced the title. His aim at the point was to move up to heavyweights in the hopes of winning a new title, but he’s never competed since then due to legal difficulties and a long-running contract disagreement with the UFC. In 2022, let’s hope that he gets to return to the game. It makes no difference who he beats at this time. The fact that he battles is all that matters.

Conclusion

By spring, the MMA environment will be shifted drastically. In these sports, situations move quickly. Mentioned above are the upcoming battles we’re expecting to see this year.
