ONE Championship returns on Friday, April 22, with ONE 156: Eersel vs. Sadikovic from the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

The event will be headlined by two ONE Super Series World Title bouts. ONE Lightweight Kickboxing World Champion Regian Eersel defends his gold against Arian Sadikovic. At the same time, Smilla Sundell and Jackie Buntan meet for the inaugural ONE Women’s Strawweight Muay Thai World Championship in the co-main event.

But what else is on the docket in “The Lion City?”

Here are three bouts that you cannot miss when ONE gets underway this weekend.

Bokang Masunyane vs. Jarred Brooks

ONE Strawweight World Champion Joshua Pacio will have his eyes glued to the main card matchup between top contenders Bokang Masunyane and Jarred Brooks because the winner will earn the next title shot.

Regardless of the high stakes, this is an insanely fun matchup between two of the most action-packed athletes in the division. Brooks, himself, has even called Masunyane his most dangerous opponent at strawweight.

Before the two title tilts round out the event, the high-paced strawweight title eliminator could steal the show. It will be an electric showcase to determine who is next in line for a shot at Pacio.

Namiki Kawahara vs. Danial Williams

Speaking of electric, Danial Williams is also on the ONE 156 bill. And any time the Aussie is featured, it is a must-see affair.

Williams burst onto the scene during the ONE on TNT series against Rodtang Jitmuangnon. Although Williams came out on the losing end, his performance earned him adulation from around the world.

Since then, “Mini T” has moved back to mixed martial arts, where he defeated former divisional king Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke by body shot KO. Now he meets Namiki Kawahara to continue his rise as one of the sport’s most exciting athletes.

Keanu Subba vs. James Yang

As Keanu Subba and James Yang kick off the event in style, fans will want to be tuned in from the opening bell.

The featherweight matchup could yield big results for the winner. Subba’s only losses on the global stage have come to elite competition, and he is one of only two men to force Tang Kai to a decision. And while Yang may only be 1-0, he has a lifetime of martial arts competition experience and is a long-time training partner of Demetrious Johnson.

This is not your typical opening bout. The winner will quickly move up the featherweight division ranks and be a factor in the title picture sooner than later.

ONE 156: Eersel vs. Sadikovic airs live and free beginning at 5 a.m. ET/2 a.m. PT on watch.onefc.com. The lead card can also be viewed on ONE’s official Facebook and YouTube pages.

The main card will begin at 8:30 a.m. ET/5:30 a.m. PT on watch.onefc.com.
