ONE Championship and Prime Video launched their partnership in epic fashion last month when Demetrious Johnson captured the ONE Flyweight World Championship with a highlight-reel knockout over Adriano Moraes.

One onlooker was former two-division World Champion Aung La N Sang. “The Burmese Python” noted the multitude of finishes and incredible energy that came from the event. As the partnership continues on September 30 with ONE on Prime Video 2: Xiong vs. Lee III, the Myanmar star foresees a bright future for ONE in America.

“I know Amazon Prime has grown tremendously during the pandemic, and for us to be able to showcase ONE Championship on Amazon Prime is great. It’s something that the American audience has never seen – Muay Thai in four-ounce gloves, the high-level MMA fights, the grappling ones, as well as other rule sets. So, there are a lot of stars that are going to be coming out of this deal with Amazon Prime, I know for sure,” said Aung La.

Aung La was part of a watch party for the event. The Kill Cliff FC athlete mentioned the energy built from the first fight through Johnson’s finish and is feeling the success from the first show. The buzz generated from ONE on Prime Video 1 carries over as the company nears its second primetime event.

The middleweight and light heavyweight contender feels the momentum growing beyond just fan excitement. He also feels the buzz from fellow athletes who got to see the spectacle that ONE brings to the table.

“There are a lot of fans talking about it. And also, you know, just the higher level guys from my gym are talking about it. So it’s great, more eyes are going to be coming on to ONE Championship, and it will allow the athletes to showcase their best,” said Aung La.

“I believe ONE Championship has one of the best talents in the world, in all organizations. And we get to display it in different facets of martial arts. And the fans are in for a treat. The level of striking in Muay Thai fights with the four-ounce gloves, it’s going to intrigue a lot of fans on the state side.”

Fans will get to taste a bit of everything at ONE on Prime Video 2 with three world title bouts led by ONE Atomweight World Champion Angela Lee moving back up to challenge Xiong Jing Nan for the ONE Strawweight World Championship. Also in action, ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion Superbon Singha Mawynn takes on Chingiz Allazov, and Mikey Musumeci meets Cleber Sousa for the inaugural ONE Flyweight Submission Grappling World Championship.

ONE on Prime Video 2 will air live on Friday, September 30, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
