The Ultimate Fighting Championship is currently one of the biggest organizations in the world of combat sports. The prominence of mixed martial arts in the 21st century has certainly been great for the company. It seems that more and more people are becoming interested in different combat sports. So, MMA is the perfect venue to study multiple disciplines from all over the world, and blend them into something new.

But, even people with no interest in studying martial arts are slowly getting into the UFC. Many analysts are speculating that if things go on as they do, that MMA will soon overtake boxing as the most popular combat sport in the world.

The UFC headquarters are found in Las Vegas, so quite a few of the biggest fights tend to be held there. This fact gives fans of MMA who also enjoy the occasion roulette spin a chance to see the world’s biggest gambling hub.

However, even if you can’t visit the City of Sin, you can still partake in a little gambling, largely thanks to the numerous gambling websites. If you take a look at the best casinos in 2023, you will find some excellent casino websites that you can check out. But, if the fights are all you are interested in, these are a few of the most requested fights for 2023.

McGregor’s Comeback

Conor McGregor is possibly the biggest name in modern MMA. The Fightin’ Irish stepped into prominence in 2016, when he had a string of one-hit KO’s against some truly big-name opponents. It all culminated in a heavily-publicized fight against then-champ, Floyd Mayweather Jr. The Money Fight resulted in a 10th Round TKO in favor of Mayweather. And since then, McGregor has not been doing much.

However, his fans are still just as passionate and dedicated as ever. Many are waiting and hoping for a comeback, and the UFC has certainly dropped some hints for a 2023 return. Likely opponents are Michael Chandler and Jorge Masvidal, though at this point, fans will be happy to see him fight anyone.

Jon Jones vs. Francis Ngannou

In a similar vein to McGregor, Jon Jones has been out of the octagon for quite some time. And fans are demanding to see one of the all-time greats back in the field. Since he successfully defended his title in 2020, Jon Jones has not returned. We realize that the fighter is trying to bulk up and get to the heavyweight class, but the transition is taking a bit too long.

Most fans are hoping to see Jones go up against Francis Ngannou. After an injury, Ngannou may not be at the top of his game. A fair handicap, as it would be Jones’ first fight in the heavyweight class. The “Baddest” vs. the “Best” is certainly a fight to remember, and we all hope we will get to see it in 2023.

Khamzat Chimaev vs. Colby Covington

Two of the best welterweight fighters in 2023 are Khamzat Chimaev and Colby Covington. Both have a huge following, both are headliners for the UFC, and both are in the conversation as future champions. And yet, they’ve still not faced off. Even casual fans of MMA are hoping to see their names next to each other in a 2023 match.
