The 2023 PFL preseason rolls on tonight as the big boys take center stage, with eight heavyweights looking to earn a PFL regular season contract live from the backlot of Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida.

The card will be kicked off by former Iowa State University linebacker turned Dana White’s Contender Series veteran Alton Meeks, who is set to face Louie Sutherland as the Scottish “Vanilla Gorilla” tries to rebound from his first career loss. Sutherland last competed in a showcase bout at PFL 9 2022, where his string of first-round stoppage victories to start his career was snapped by Abraham Bably en route to a unanimous decision defeat. “Murda” Meeks, meanwhile, was defeated by Yorgan de Castro on the Contender Series in 2019 and spent over three years away from action before returning to score a second-round stoppage last July.

The aforementioned Abraham Bably will compete in the following fight, battling Hassan Graham in the Massachusetts native’s second professional fight. “The One and Only” Manchester Top Team-trained Bably has finished five out of his six fights across amateur and professional competition, only seeing the judges’ scorecards in his fight against Sutherland, which served as his second professional win. “Bounty Hunter” Graham scored a first-round stoppage in his professional debut last October after a 4-0 run as an amateur that included three finishes.

Similar to Graham, Isaiah Pinson will be searching for his second professional win in as many fights when he takes on the American Top Team-trained Vitor Resende. After just one amateur fight and win, Pinson defeated BKFC and iKON FC veteran Idrees Wasi by first-round submission in his professional debut last November. The six-foot-nine Brazilian Resende returns to action after two and a half years away, but has won and finished four in a row to start his professional career.

UFC veteran Danilo Marques moves up a weight class in search of his second consecutive win against Bellator veteran Ras Hylton. After starting 2-0 in the UFC, Brazil’s Marques dropped his next two fights by stoppage and was cut by the promotion. He picked up a first-round submission in his return to non-UFC action his last time out, which was nearly a year ago. After scoring a short-notice upset victory over Rudy Schaffroth at Bellator 242, Hylton then dropped a decision to Davion Franklin at Bellator 246. Since returning to the regional scene, “Rasquatch” has gone 3-1, including three wins in a row, all by finish.
