An official weigh-in taking place on a Thursday night in advance of a UFC card isn’t something that normally happens, but due to the time difference between the United States and Macau, where this week’s edition of UFC Fight Night is taking place, the fighters stepped to the scale in Macau, where it’s already Friday morning.

This week, Dana White‘s promotion holds one final show before taking a bye week for Thanksgiving inside the United States when Galaxy Arena plays host to UFC Macau. It’s the UFC’s first trip to Macau since the summer of 2014.  The 14-hour time difference also means that UFC Macau will take place very early Saturday morning (US time.)

Live coverage begins at 3 am ET/ midnight PT Saturday with the prelims on ESPN+. Main card action follows at 6 am ET/ 3 am PT on the Disney-owned subscription-based streaming platform. All told, Saturday’s card will feature a full 13-fight card.

UFC Macau Official Weigh-Ins Go According to Plan Friday Morning

Ahead of the fights taking place this upcoming weekend, the fighters booked to appear on Saturday made their way to the scales Friday morning (Macau time.) Luckily, this week’s official weigh-in didn’t produce anything in the way of drama on the scale.

After all was said and done on Friday, we’ve got a main event locked in ahead of this weekend’s card. Both Deiveson Figuereido (24-3-1 MMA, 13-3-1 UFC) and Petr Yan (17-5 MMA, 9-4 UFC) were on-target for Saturday’s contest, without having to resort to the nontitle allowance of 1 lb. afforded to them.

The co-headlining affair is also confirmed with the Friday morning weigh-ins. While Yan Xiaonan (18-4 MMA, 8-3 UFC) came in at 116 lbs., her opponent, Tabitha Ricci (11-2 MMA, 6-2 UFC), weighed in at 115.5 lbs.

Road To UFC Finals Official After Early Weigh-Ins

To headline Saturday’s UFC Macau undercard, three out of the four tournament finals for this season in Road to UFC will be taking place. All three finals scheduled for Saturday are officially good to go after the six fighters made weight without incident Friday morning.

The featherweight final was scrubbed prior to the show this weekend after Zhu Kangjie (20-4 MMA) sustained an injury. His fight against Xie Bin (13-4 MMA) has been moved to a later date.
