Liam Harrison laid his gloves in the middle of the ONE Championship Circle at ONE 168 last year. It was meant to symbolize his retirement from competition. However, after a little time away he decided to make a triumphant return in 2025.
Harrison competed in his own promotion, Hitman Fight League, against Isaac Araya. The Brit won via third-round TKO due to leg kicks. His passion reignited, Liam Harrison is set to return to ONE at ONE 173 against Soe Lin Oo later this year.

“Hitman” took to Reddit to talk directly to his fans via the Muay Thai subreddit. It was an Ask Me Anything topic, allowing fans to directly communicate with the Muay Thai great. Liam Harrison did not mince words and was as honest as ever when asked directly about return to action.
“I knew that I could come back and have some more exciting fights. My body is much stronger and I feel much sharper. I feel like I’ve got a new lease of life with my brand new Bad Company gym,” Liam Harrison remarked.
No One-Off Appearance for Liam Harrison This Time
If anyone is expecting a quick retirement after his next match, Harrison shot that down quickly. Fueled by his return, “Hitman” wants to make his comeback in style. Even when away from the ring, he still gives back to the sport as a mentor.
“I’m not going anywhere after this fight! I plan on winning this fight in explosive fashion and will see what are the options. I will always be involved in my seminars and coaching,” Liam Harrison said.

“Based on my last fight, I spent 200 bucks on Dominos,” Harrison exclaimed.
The 39-year-old has always been honest about where he is in the sport. He knows his best days are behind him as an elder of the division. That is why he wakes up early to get in work and keeps a vigorous schedule. Still, it’s all about listening to his body.
“You got to listen to your body. I do a lot of movements for my hips and shoulders. I have to hit the sauna and ice baths much regularly now and lots of stretching too,” Harrison said.
Harrison’s Still Got Fire in the Belly for Fight Game
Liam Harrison is not zeroing in on any one particular matchup. As he said himself, he has fought everyone. His comeback is purely about the love of the game and being one of the most entertaining martial artists in the world.
