ONE Championship Inks Japanese Star Yuki Yoza

ONE Championship has bolstered its bantamweight striking roster with the addition of Japanese superstar Yuki Yoza, the promotion announced Tuesday. The 27-year-old steps onto the global stage after compiling an impressive 19-2 professional record, including his current 10-bout winning streak.

Yuki Yoza Cuts Teeth in Karate Ahead of Kickboxing Career

The Japanese talent began his journey in karate. Yuki Yoza racked up numerous titles in the sport before deciding to change course and enter the world of kickboxing. If it were a difficult transition, his performances would not show it.

Yuki Yoza built his reputation quickly in Japan after turning pro in 2019 with a seven-match win streak. His aggressive fighting style and technical precision made him one of the most exciting prospects in the lighter-weight divisions. He has only gotten better, capturing a K-1 title in 2023.

Yuki Yoza Has Decent Training Partners Ahead of ONE Championship Debut

The talented striker trains alongside Takeru Segawa and ONE Interim Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion Masaaki Noiri at Team Vasileus. With iron sharpening iron, Yuki Yoza can look for a seamless transition into ONE competition. The addition to the bantamweight division only continues to deepen the talent pool.

His most recent victory showcased his tremendous kicking power, as Yoza defeated former ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Champion Petchdam Petchyindee by leg kick knockout. Having no fear of a firefight, ONE fans can expect action-packed bouts against top talent. Potential future matchups against Ilias Ennahachi, Wei Rui, and John Lineker are not out of the question.

No Word on When Yoza Could Debut in ONE

On the heels of ONE’s tremendous event inside Saitama Super Arena for ONE 172, Japanese martial artists are making a statement. Now it’s time for Yuki Yoza to carve out his own space in the Renaissance. No official date has been set for Yoza’s debut.
