ONE: Winter Warriors II Announced

Team Lakay will take the spotlight on ONE Championship’s final card of 2021. The Filipino gym will send four of its top athletes to compete at ONE: Winter Warriors II, airing on Friday, December 17.

#2-ranked flyweight contender Danny Kingad will represent the gym in the main event when he takes on #4-ranked Kairat Akhmetov. The two contenders will be trying to make a case for a ONE Flyweight World Title shot against Adriano Moraes, as both feel they have unfinished business with the Brazilian.

Former ONE Bantamweight World Champion Kevin Belingon will take on Kwon Won Il in the co-main event in what could be the Match of the Night. The bantamweight warriors are two of the most exciting athletes in the world, and fireworks are to be expected when the bell sounds.

In the other two bouts featuring Team Lakay standouts, fellow bantamweight Mark Stephen Loman will battle Yusup Saadulaev, and 19-year-old Jhanlo Mark Sangiao makes his organizational debut against Paul Lumihi to bring the next generation of Team Lakay talent onto the global stage.

But the action is certainly not done there. Two additional former World Champions will compete to try and position themselves for another title run in 2022.

Former ONE Middleweight World Champion Vitaly Bigdash returns to meet “King Kong Warrior” Fan Rong in what promises to be an exciting catchweight affair.

Also, rounding out the card, former ONE Welterweight World Champion Zebaztian Kadestam has his hands full with the undefeated Russian powerhouse Murad Ramazanov.

The six-bout event is a strong way to close out 2021 for ONE, and ONE: Winter Warriors II will help position many top contenders for big matches in the new year. The exciting conclusion comes on December 17 at 7:30 a.m. EST/4:30 a.m. PST on Bleacher Report.
