Igor Pokrajac fills in for Anthony Perosh against Joey Beltran at UFC on FX 6

|

With Anthony Perosh off the UFC on FX 6 fight card in December due to nearly having his toe ripped off, the UFC needed to find a replacement to fight Perosh’s scheduled opponent, Joey Beltran.

Stepping in for Perosh will be Croatian fighter Igor Pokrajac.

UFC officials today announced the change to the Dec. 14 fight card, which takes place at Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre in Broadbeach, Gold Coast, Australia.

Beltran (14-8) returned from a brief stint outside the UFC last July when he lost a one-sided decision to James Te Huna. The bout was Beltran’s first as a light heavyweight, however is did not help him get out of his slump inside the Octagon as he has lost three-straight in the UFC.

Pokrajac (25-9) had his three-fight win-streak broken in September when he was submitted by Vinny Magalhaes in the second round of their UFC 152 affair. ‘The Duke’ will attempt to get back on track at UFC on FX 6 while simultaneously attempting to hand Beltran his walking papers.

UFC on FX 6: Pearson vs. Sotiropoulos also features the finals of ‘The Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes’ as well as a lightweight bout between coaches Ross Pearson and George Sotiropoulos.
