The Maximum Fighting Championship is excited to announce the hiring of Alex Hindmarch, who will begin his tenure as the new ring announcer at MFC 36: Reality Check.

A native of Britain, Hindmarch is currently the afternoon-drive host on The New 92.5 Fresh FM in Edmonton, Alberta. An avid mixed martial arts fan, Hindmarch is thrilled to be suiting up for the MFC with his first assignment just a month away when MFC 36 hits the Shaw Conference Centre in Edmonton, and live on AXS TV Fights.

“I’m extremely excited to join the MFC – Canada’s biggest and best mixed martial organization,” said Hindmarch. “MMA is becoming the biggest sport in the world and I’m honored that Mark Pavelich wants me on board.”

For his part, Pavelich was also delighted to have Hindmarch join the MFC team.

“The level of enthusiasm that Alex showed in our meeting proved to me he was the right man for the job,” added the MFC’s Owner/President. “It is vital moving forward that the MFC has enthusiastic team players around, and Alex certainly fits that bill very well.”

Hindmarch has worked in Canadian radio the past eight years, highlighted by a successful run at Q107 in Toronto, Ontario, where he hosted the city’s No. 1 show in the key demographic of 25-54 adults. Following a stint in PEI and Nova Scotia, Hindmarch moved west and now hosts one of Edmonton’s top-rated afternoon-drive shows.

In addition to his work, Hindmarch is very active in the community and in each of the past three years has raised over $10,000 for the Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer.

Tickets for MFC 36: Reality Check are on sale now and available at www.ticketmaster.ca or by calling the MFC Ticket Hotline at (780) 504-2024.
