Nam Yui Chul vs. Kume Takasuke added to ROAD FC 011

|

ROAD Fighting Championship is set to showcase its first event of 2013 on April 13th, at the Olympic Hall situated in Seoul, South Korea.

First reported by TheFightNation, the conclusion of the promotion’s Lightweight Championship tournament has been added to the fight card, featuring finalists Nam Yui Chul  and Kume Takasuke.

This 16-man Lightweight championship tournament kicked off on September 15th in Wonju, South Korea, at ROAD FC 009: Beatdown. Nam Yui Chul (15-4), a decorated South Korean Mixed Martial Artist, defeated Masahiro Toryu and Vuyisile Colossa in his road to the finals. Kume Takasuke, in the meantime, is on a tear with a 9-fight win streak in his pocket. The 27-year-old Shooto veteran submitted Chang Hyun Kim and Chul Yoon in his quest to the final stage. Both fighters are highly-rated under the ROAD FC banner, and it will be interesting to see how this fight goes. With that said, this fight will also crown the promotion’s first Lightweight champion.

No further matches have been announced, however, expect the likes of Andrew Leone, Jeff Monson and Melvin Manhoef to be booked for this event.
