Sarah Kaufman and 3 other women signed by the UFC

|

After a very successful weekend with Ronda Rousey defeating Liz Carmouche in the main event at UFC 157, the organization has signed four more women to it’s ever expanding bantamweight division.

UFC President Dana White told AJ Perez of FOX Sports that Sarah Kaufman, Julie Kedzie, Amanda Nunes and Germaine de Randamie are now under UFC contract.

Kaufman (15-2) last fought this past August when she lost to Ronda Rousey. She is expected to fight at Invicta FC 5 on April 5 against Leslie Smith. The Victoria, BC native holds key victories over Alexis Davis, Liz Carmouche, Marloes Coenen, and Shayna Baszler.

Kedzie (16-11) put on a “Fight of the Year” candidate last August against Miesha Tate under the Strikeforce banner. The veteran has fought some of the best females on the planet and her never quit attitude will be a fan favorite.

Nunes (7-3) fought her last two fights under the Invicta FC banner with a 1-1 record. She won at Invicta FC 2 against Raquel Pa’aluhi and lost a decision to Sarah D’Alelio at Invicta FC 4. All seven of her victories come by way of submission or TKO.

De Randamie (3-2) defeated the always dangerous Hiroko Yamanaka this past August in Strikeforce. The former world-champion kick-boxer will bring an exciting style to the Octagon.

The four latest signings are expected to make their promotion debuts some time in the late Spring or early Summer.
