LION FIGHT 17  airs live on  AXS TV    starting at a special time, 9:00 p.m. ET/6:00 p.m. PT. The broadcast will feature play-by-play and color commentary by legendary MMA fighter and coach Pat Miletich alongside renowned sports commentator Michael “The Voice” Schiavello. This will be the 10th  LION FIGHT    event on  AXS TV    and the fourth since renewing their broadcast deal in early 2014.
LION FIGHT 15, the first east coast event for the four-year-old combat sports promotion, was a total sell-out, packed with non-stop stand-up fighting action that thrilled every fan that attended the premiere LION FIGHT inside the Fox Theatre.
“The success of Lion Fight 15 was thrilling for everyone involved, and even more exciting is to announce that we have an east coast home for more Lion Fight events,” said Kent. “Thanks to this deal with Foxwoods Resort Casino, we will present even more events this year and in 2015, likely a fight every three or four weeks. This allows us to keep our fighters active, sign more top athletes to multi-fight contracts and regularly showcase the sport of Muay Thai to east coast fans. I give my appreciation to Mark Cuban and Andrew Simon at AXS TV and Felix Rappaport for believing in Lion Fight and the potential of this incredible sport.”
“Our first event with Lion Fight was such an unqualified success, that we wanted to build on that debut event with more great cards for the remainder of 2014 and throughout 2015,” said Felix Rappaport, Senior Vice President and COO, Foxwoods Resort Casino. “I give my thanks to Lion Fight and Tribal Council Chairman Rodney Butler and President and CEO Scott Butera for making this event a success. For sports fans that crave action, every amateur fight and every professional fight at Lion Fight’s first event on the East Coast was competitive and exciting. Fans of MMA and boxing alike should come to Foxwoods August for LION FIGHT 17. They won’t be disappointed.”
Next up on the busy schedule is LION FIGHT 16 FridayJuly 4 at the Pearl at Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, which is presented as part of the UFC’s International Fight Week extravaganza. LION FIGHT 16 tickets start at $25 and are available through  Ticketmaster.com.
