In the co-main event of UFC Fight Night 85, Neil Magny went to war with Hector Lombard in the cage at Brisbane, Queenland, Australia’s Brisbane Entertainment Center. “Showeather” rocked the TUF alum early in the first round, pouring it on while Magny did his best to defend and try and stave off the finish. The Team Elevation member weathered the storm, leaving Lombard gassed and ripe for the picking over the course of the next two rounds. The fight should have ended in the tail end of the 2nd, with Magny on Lombard’s back and landing punch after punch, even looking up at referee Steve Percivel and imploring him to stop the fight. The fight would eventually come to a close in the 3rd round with Neil Magny once again on top of Lombard, sealing up a mounted triangle and still raining down shots. This makes Neil Magny the first man to ever finish Hector Lombard.
