135-lbs headlining bout announced for Guam’s PXC 40

Hot off the heels of an incredible 39th installment, the Pacific X-Treme Combat has wasted little time in issuing out details with regards to PXC 40.

135-lbs headlining bout announced for Guam's PXC 40A Bantamweight title bout pitting champ Michinori Tanaka (8-0) and Kyle Aguon (6-3) is set to take center-stage at the event, as PXC 40 goes down on October 25th at the UOG Fieldhouse in Guam.

135-lbs headlining bout announced for Guam’s PXC 40

Officials made the announcement through PXC’s Facebook platform.

Tanaka, 22, will be making his first title defense since garnering the 135-lbs strap against Team Lakay’s Crisanto Pitpitunge at PXC 37. The former Shooto veteran enters this upcoming  championship tilt with a lot of expectations riding on his shoulder, given the credentials he has attained in just eight professional MMA fights.

Kyle Aguon will be the underdog in this one, but even with three defeats on his resume, the Guam-native is yet to be stopped/finished inside the PXC cage. Aguon is currently on a four-fight winning streak, with his latest victory coming against Russell Doane at PXC 38. That win and consistency probably prompted officials to award Aguon with a title shot.

Nine bouts are expected to take place on this fight card, so keep it locked to MMASucka.com for more news and updates.
