Many believe that this press conference will unveil the deal which was rumored earlier this between the UFC and Fox Sports. The press conference will be held Thursday in Los Angeles.
Representing the Ultimate Fighting Championship will be UFC President Dana White and UFC executive and part owner Lorenzo Fertitta. Several of the UFC’s most marketable fighters like Georges St. Pierre and Rashad Evansare also rumored to be in attendance.
FOX Sports Media Group Chairman David Hill, co-presidents Eric Shanks & Randy Freer and FX President John Landgraf will headline a press conference on Thursday, August 18 for one of the biggest announcements in FOX Sports’ 17-year history.
The Fox Sports deal is reportedly valued as high as $90 million per year and is believed to have a term of seven to eight years.
The UFC’s contracts with Spike TV and Versus are set to expire at the end of 2011.
