HDNet Will Now Air Strikeforce Prelim Fights And Weigh-Ins For The Upcoming World Grand Prix Semi-Finals And Finals

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – STRIKEFORCE® announced today that HDNet will broadcast live preliminary bouts and official weigh-ins for the WORLD GRAND PRIX SEMI-FINALS on Sept. 10 in Cincinnati, as well as for the WORLD GRAND PRIX FINALS scheduled to take place in the coming months.

In addition, HDNet’s Inside MMA, hosted by Bas Rutten and Kenny Rice, will broadcast live from the weigh-in locations for each event with exclusive pre-fight coverage, including on-set interviews and analysis of the upcoming bouts. HDNet last carried the live prelims and weigh-ins for the WORLD GRAND PRIX event held at American Airlines Center in Dallas on June 18.

“As we continue to showcase some of the sport’s up-and-coming talent on our prelims, we’re excited to be able to air them live on HDNet,” STRIKEFORCE CEO Scott Coker said. “We’re excited to give STRIKEFORCE fans even more access to great fights.”

The following bouts will air live on HDNet from U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati on Sept. 10: UFC veteran Mike Kyle vs. highly-touted prospect light heavyweight prospect Marcos Rogerio de Lima; former STRIKEFORCE light heavyweight champ Rafael “Feijão” Cavalcante vs. Olympic wrestler Yoel Romero; former number one welterweight contender Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos vs. rising star Jordan Mein; Brazilian bantamweight striker Amanda Nunes vs. Japanese Jujutsu black belt Alexis Davis.  One additional bout is in the works to complete the preliminary portion of the event.  The action will air live on HDNet beginning at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT.
