Daniel Cormier: It’s An Honor And A Privilege To Fight Someone Like Josh

Back in June, Daniel Cormier beat a very game Jeff Monson in Grand Prix Alternate Bout. Just three months later Cormier has entered the Grand Prix due to Alistair Overeem’s departure and is now in the finals against Josh Barnett. Last night (Sept, 10) Cormier defeated Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva via first round KO. This victory puts Cormier at 9-0 in his MMA career, with notable victories over Jason Riley, Jeff Monson and most recently Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva.

In a post fight interview with Damon Martin of MMAWeekly.com Cormier talks about first fighting for Strikeforce 2 years ago, how he hurt his hand with a big punch against Silva and how he is honored to face Barnett in the finals.
