Quinton “Rampage” Jackson vs. Ryan Bader Booked for UFC 144 in Japan

I guess when Rampage complained via twitter than he will not be fighting in Japan, someone from the UFC took notice.

It was rumored that Rampage would take on Stephan Bonnar, however today Brett Okamoto of ESPN has the confirmation:

The UFC has granted Quinton Jackson’s request to fight in Japan in February.

The former light heavyweight champion will meet Ryan Bader at UFC 144. UFC co-owner Lorenzo Fertitta confirmed the matchup to ESPN.com.

Rampage’s last action in the octagon was a fourth round submission loss to the current UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones.

Bader is coming off of a quick KO victory over Jason Brilz at this past weekends UFC 139 event.

Look for the bout to likely be the co-main event, with the card headlined by the lightweight championship showdown between Frankie Edgar and Ben Henderson.
