This Saturday evening fans will be treated to a free middleweight showdown between the two TUF 14 coaches, Michael Bisping and Jason “Mayhem” Miller at The Ultimate Fighter 14 Finale. In an interview with Fighters Only, Bisping speaks about how he respects Miller as a fighter, but says he wants to knock him out and will be looking for the finish from the get go.
The thing is, I respect Jason as a fighter. I know he’s been around the block, yeah, he’s been around a long time. I don’t feel the same (respect) from him, I think he’s underestimating me. He made comments on the show, ‘Ahh, Bisping’s giving grappling coaching!” Mocking that, as if I can’t give someone grappling advice. We’ll see on the night. He thinks that he’s going to take me down and submit me with his eyes closed, as if that’s something easy. I’ve fought numerous black-belts, I train with black-belts on a daily basis. He won’t be able to submit me, I guarantee that. … I want to knock the guy out. People say that I have no knockout power. Miller is tough, he’s got a good jaw, and he’s durable, so it’s not going to be easy, but I’m looking to finish the fight right from the start. – transcribed by Lowkick.com
