I love it when one of our local BC fighters make it to an international stage, so when I heard Battlefield Fight League amateur alumni and Universal MMA fighter, Terrence Chan made the move to professional on one of Asia’s big MMA promotions, I was pretty excited.
His professional debut was at Legend FC 8 in Hong Kong this morning (March 30th, 2012, 4:00am PST) and he didn’t disappoint.
Sure, it may seem to some people that his move from his first amateur fight in September 2011 to his first pro fight in March 2012 may be quick for the average fighter, but Terrence is not average. His day job is an international professional poker player. He has a “the Normal (or Gaussian) Distribution Curve” tattooed on his chest. Definitely not average. He has also had several amateur fights in Asia leading up to his pro debut.
Follow Terrence at @tchanpoker on twitter and at his personal blog at http://www.terrencechanpoker.com/
Terrence’s fight starts at 6:47. Enjoy!
