Michael Bisping vs. Tim Boetsch official for UFC 149 in Calgary

|

It has been rumored since last week that the middleweight match-up between Michael Bisping and Tim Boetsch that was originally scheduled for UFC 148 had been moved off that card.

Earlier this morning Michael Bisping announced via his twitter account that this in fact was the case.

My bout has been moved to UFC 148 in Calgary. My apologies to those who bought tickets to come see me get my ass kicked.

Well you heard it directly from the horses mouth folks, this bout has officially been moved from UFC 148 to UFC 149 in Calgary, Canada.

Bisping (22-4) fell short in his last appearance in the octagon against number one contender, Chael Sonnen. Prior to that loss he was on a four fight win streak, picking up victories over Jason “Mayhem” Miller, Jorge Rivera, Yoshihiro Akiyama and Dan Miller.

Boetsch (15-4) is currently riding a three fight win streak with wins over Kendall Grove, Nick Ring and most recently an impressive KO victory over former number one contender Yushin Okami.

Both of these men like to throw their hands, so look for a nice standing showdown.

UFC 149 is set to go down in Calgary on  July 21 at the Scotiabank Saddledome and will be headlined by a featherweight title fight between Jose Aldo and Erik Koch.
