2 fighters will soon be fighting for the first time in the Singapore-based ONE Fighting Championship.

Marcos Escobar, who will be having the home field advantage in this tilt, is set to meet Phuket Top Team’s Rodrigo Praxedes.

This bout is set for ONE FC 4: Destiny of Warriors, which will take place June 23rd at the Stadium Negara in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Praxedes is 2-0 in his professional Mixed Martial Arts career, with his recent win coming at last year’s DARE event where he submitted Bodin Panjaputra via Armbar in the 1st round.

The former Pan-Pacific Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Champion earned his BJJ Black Belt pedigree at the famed Nova Uniao camp in Brazil, and although he’s predominantly a ground fighter, Praxedes has been working hard to improve his stand-up skills as well, by training Muay Thai with the Phuket Top Team in Thailand.

With over 14 years of ground experience, there are no doubts that Praxedes may opt to return to his BJJ roots, at one point or another during the fight.

In the meantime, a worthy foe waits in the form of Marcos Escobar, who needs no introduction to the Kuala Lumpur crowd.

Escobar is a multi-time Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu champion in his own right, having won numerous BJJ accolades over the years.

The Brazilian though, is now concentrating on his MMA career and recently left Malaysia for Brazil to train in Nova Uniao with head coach Andre Pederneiras, and alongside the likes of UFC Featherweight Champion, Jose Aldo.

With the addition of this match-up, the fight card for ONE FC 4: Destiny of Warriors has become even more stacked, and the fights are as follows:

* Renato Sobral vs. Tatsuya Mizuno

* Masakazu Imanari vs. Leandro Issa

* Eddie Ng vs. Arnaud Lepont

* Gregor Gracie vs. Adam Kayoom

* Allamurad Karayev vs. Roldan Sangcha-an

* Rodrigo Praxedes vs. Marcos Escobar

* Peter Davis vs. Quek Kim Hock
