Ebersole shot for the takedown immediately, but Head stuffed it. Head took the Muay Thai game to the man who trains in Thailand in Ebersole. Head grabbed a deep guillotine choke late in round 1, but Ebersole gave a thumbs up to say he was fine. Near the end of the first Ebersole threw his famous cartwheel kick, but ended up on his back to finish off the round.
In between rounds Ebersole’s corner tells him to “Stay Awkward.”
Again Ebersole shot and gave up his neck. Midway through the round Head was really swinging for the fences. Nothing seemed to faze Ebersole in this round. He took some decent punches and kicks. However, Head ended the round with a nice sweep to end up in top position.
Head controlled the ground position to start the round again, but disengaged to get back to the feet. Head has read every one of Ebersole’s take downs perfectly in the fight, however there was a lack of dominance on either man’s part.
This fight went to the judges scorecards.

“I took the fight on short notice and it wasn’t my best. I’m going to take a look at my performance, go from there and figure out my next steps.”
