Invicta FC announced that they will hold their third event at Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Mo. on October 6, 2012.
The main event will crown the organizations first champion, as Jessica Penne takes on Naho Sugiyama for the Atomweight (105lbs) belt.
Penne (9-1) fought at Invicta FC 1, where she defeated Lisa Ellis by TKO in the third round. Her lone loss came back in 2010 – to the very dangerous Zoila Gurgel.
Sugiyama (8-0) is undefeated in her mixed martial arts career and will make her promotional debut at Invicta FC 3. Her last five fights have been under Japan’s Jewels promotional banner.
Some familiar names round out the rest of the card, as Shayna Baszler takes on Sarah D’Alelio. Also on the card and making her promotional debut will be Tara LaRosa, who takes on Vanessa Porto.
