Jake Ellenberger and Jay Hieron was the co-main event of next weeks UFC 151, unfortunately the event has been cancelled. Good news for Ellenberger and Hieron though, as the UFC has already found a new card for their fight.
The two will now battle it out at UFC on FX 5 on October 5 in Minneapolis.
This will be a rematch between Ellenberger and Hieron, as they fought at an IFL event back in 2006. Hieron took the unanimous decision victory and the first loss on Ellenberger’s record.
UFC on FX 5 is set to go down October 5 at the Target Center in Minneapolis and will air live on FX and FUEL TV. The main event is expected to be a heavyweight collision between Travis Browne and Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva.
