|

MMAOrient.net has reported that the Pacific X-treme Combat, an MMA promotion that’s based in Guam and the Philippines, is set to showcase its 34th event on November 17th, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Manilla.

If it rings a bell, the Araneta Coliseum played host to ONE Fighting Championship’s ‘Pride of a Nation’ event this past August.

An organization that always looks to excite fans with its brand of Mixed Martial Arts, PXC 34 comes hot on the heels of PXC 33, which was a huge draw. This past September, PXC 33 had almost 500,000 viewers on AKTV, and a sold-out Ynares Arena too.

CEO E.J. Calvo was also quick to point out about the rapid growth of PXC:

“We are extremely excited about the move to Araneta. Our fighters have worked hard and performed well, and deserve the exposure this event will bring,” he said. “PXC, as an organization, has grown leaps and bounds over a decade, and there is no doubt PXC can stand up against any MMA promotion in the region right now.”

“Our goal is to continue to grow PXC for the benefit of MMA fans in the Philippines, as well as for the long-term growth of the sport in the entire region.” he added.

PXC 34 is expected to be headlined by Ale Cali, and Erwin Tagle.

The event will also feature some of the promotion’s best talents too.

“We anticipate that several fighters on the card will be top prospects for The UFC in the near future, so it will be exciting to see them compete on their way up!” stated Eli Monge, PXC’s VP/Matchmaker. “PXC fighters to look out for include the Harris Sarmiento, Eugene Toquero, Russell Doane and Mark Striegl.”
