Photo: Kyle Kingsbury the Monday after Jimi Manuwa fight

In the main event of the Facebook portion of this past weekend’s UFC on FUEL TV 5 event, Kyle Kingsbury faced England’s own Jimi Manuwa.

Kingsbury started the fight off with a bang and almost secured a choke. However, Manuwa finished the first round strong and dropped Kingsbu to leave him with a swollen eye at the end of Round 1.

Again, Kingsbury started the second round with a takedown, but could not keep control. Manuwa switched things up and landed some big knees and punches. He also went for a pretty slick little neck-tie in the middle of the second frame. Manuwa finished the round on his back, as Kingsbury landed a nice double leg takedown.

Unfortunately, Kingsbury was unable to come out to fight in the third, as the doctor forced a stoppage to the fight. The American fighter was unable to see out of his swollen left eye.

Below is a picture of what Kyle Kingsbury’s eye looked like on the Monday following the big fight with Jimi Manuwa.
