Multiple sources reported today that former UFC Light-Heavyweight Champion ‘Sugar’ Rashad Evans is expected to battle PRIDE veteran Antonio Rogerio Nogueira on Superbowl Weekend, at UFC 157.
The Superbowl Weekend card is generally one of the bigger cards of the year, and is likely to take place at the Mandalay Bay Events Centre in Las Vegas, NV.
Evans, 33, went 1-1 in 2012, defeating Phil Davis at the beginning of the year before losing a unanimous decision to Jon Jones. Rumours ran rampant throughout 2012 about a possible move to middleweight for the Ultimate Fighter veteran, but it seems as though he has decided to stay at light-heavyweight.
Nogueira, 36, has been out of action since December 2011 with various injuries. He is 3-2 in the UFC and is coming off of a win against Tito Ortiz.
